Over time, people who lost their loved ones think they have moved on when in reality, they just got used to their absence. No matter how familiar the void becomes though, there will still be moments — even in forty years time — when they’d find themselves longing for their presence.
So just know that it’s okay to miss them at times. Nostalgia isn’t a sign of weakness anyway. It is a reminder of how powerful love can be between two people — so powerful that it still lives on even after the other one has already passed away.
